Public Safety Activities

Lance Arnold was appointed Chief of Police of the Weatherford, Texas Police Department in June 2017. He was appointed as the Director of Public Safety in August 2020 and then Assistant City Manager in April 2022 to lead police, fire, and emergency management functions. Lance grew up in New Boston, Texas, near Texarkana. He and his wife, RaeAnn, have been married for 24 years, and they have two sons, ages 20 and 17. Lance is working towards completing his Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership at Abilene Christian University.
