It wasn't hard to see a Rotarian driving a golf cart at the annual Peach Festival on Saturday. The annual fundraiser for Meals on Wheels provided rides on "people mover" golf carts to and from the festival. The golf carts were operated by current Rotary Club of Weatherford members, as well as some  special friends, which included former Parker County Judge Mark Riley.

"The motto of Rotary is Service Above Self and that's what we did on Saturday," said President Andy Browning. " We were serving our community, while at the same time raising money to provide meals to those less fortunate. Yes, it was hot; but we can count ourselves all truly blessed and must never miss an opportunity to give back of our resources, especially our most valuable resource, our time. It cost us very little, but can benefit A Lot."

While the amount of money raised is yet forthcoming, it was a hugely successful day for all concerned. Thank you to all those who came out and served.
